Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico

Shift: Nights, 7 PM – 7 AM

Job Summary

As a competent Registered Nurse practicing independently in a similar clinical setting, you will provide routine and complex care while managing long-range goals and contingencies. You will make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to effectively manage clinical situations.

Patient Population

• Some orthopedic
• Some behavioral health
• Some OB surgical
• Pediatric

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers; identify issues and resources.
• Meet expectations of leadership competencies (Leader of Self, Others, or Leaders).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
