Registered Nurse (Contract) - Laramie, Wyoming

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, evaluation, and treatment with the primary goal of achieving wellness and recovery.

Essential Functions

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate all aspects of patient care within scope of practice.
• Provide education to patients according to their needs.
• Transcribe, utilize, and implement protocols and physician orders.
• Coordinate healthcare team and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Credentials Required

• Current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming in good standing.
• Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if performing circulating or recovery room duties for C-section.
• Current, valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if caring for Pediatrics.
• Current, valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification for Family Care Unit.
• Labor and Delivery nurses must complete Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring class within the first year after orientation and Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring class within three years.
