MS/Tele/PCU Float Pool RN

Location

Prescott, Arizona

Role Summary

RN to float between PCU, Tele, and Med Surg in a float pool.

Required Qualifications

Current state RN license
BLS certification
ACLS certification
2 years of experience in med/tele
1 year of PCU experience
Must be able to titrate drips
Must be able to interpret telemetry strips
Must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts before signing the contract

Preferred / Additional Notes

Nights
12-hour shifts
36 hours per week
Every other weekend
Call/standby not required
First to float
Travelers must be flexible
Night shift will try to accommodate block scheduling
Solid color professional scrubs; Navy scrubs starting in October
General hospital orientation plus unit orientation
Float pool includes MedSurg Tele and PCU across both campuses, including inpatients holding in the ED
Monitor techs cover PCU and MedSurg Tele
Nurse aides are used in all settings
Common titratable drips include Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
Common patient types include geriatric, ortho, post-procedural, post-MI, post-cardiac cath, and CABG post-op patients
