Job Opportunity: Medical Laboratory Technician

Location: Westminster, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to work as a generalist in all core lab areas including blood bank (no microbiology). This role does not require phlebotomy or patient contact.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification via AMT or ASCP
• Recent blood bank experience required
• Must be able to work as a generalist across core lab areas
• No Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with Epic Laboratory Information System (LIS) preferred

Work Environment & Equipment

• Core lab areas include:

  • Chemistry (EXL Dimension)
  • Hematology (Sysmex XN)
  • Blood Bank (ECHO)
  • Urinalysis (Clinitek)
  • Coagulation (Sysmex CS 2500)
• No patient contact or phlebotomy duties

Schedule

• Assigned shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts
• Varied afternoon/evening shifts (8-10 hours):

  • 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
  • 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM
  • 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday work required
• No call or standby call responsibilities

Orientation

• Department-specific orientation required
• Orientation shift: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM (8 hours)
• Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week, even if some modules are remote

Additional Information

• Professional dress code with any professional scrub colors allowed
• Must submit driver’s license for radius verification (within 60 miles)
