Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: 4 days per week, 9-hour shifts between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM
Call Requirements:
- Primary and secondary call 6-8 shifts every 6 weeks, including weekends
- Holiday call required (department closed on holidays)
- Call response time: 30 minutes
Job Description
- Work in Interventional Radiology with 6 labs/suites (pre-op and phase 2 recovery)
- Average 20-30 cases per day
- Patient types include GI bleeds, strokes, biopsies, central lines, drains, vascular cases
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 during procedures, up to 1:4 in phase 2 recovery
- Charge RN coverage from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM (does not take patients)
- Support staff includes 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT)
- Surgical scrubs provided
- Unit-specific orientation: 5 days
Required Certifications & Skills
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- PALS certification

- No floating required
- Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours
