Sleep Tech Opportunity

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Perform diagnostic sleep testing including all PAP therapy titration
• Patient check-in, room setup, patient hookup, charting, and equipment cleaning
• Work with computerized charting systems and specialized sleep equipment

Equipment Used

• Computerized charting
• Natus XLTech Sleep Works
• ResMed S9 Devices

Required Skills & Experience

• Sleep Tech trained with a minimum of 1 year experience
• RPSGT certification required
• BLS certification required

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Nights only, Sunday through Thursday
• 12-hour shifts
• Employee will not work alone
• No call required
• No floating to other units/departments

Unit Details

• 10 Bed Sleep Lab (2 beds for Pediatric testing)
• Patient to tech ratio: 2:1 for most patients; 1:1 for patients younger than 3 years old
• Limited scoring during data collection

Orientation & Training

• Modified EMR training
• One shift orientation with another sleep tech

Additional Information

• Located in a hospital outpatient department, lower level of a clinic off campus from main hospital
• Flat lot parking immediately outside
• No cafeteria on site
• Secured entrance
• Lab open Sunday-Thursday with 3 night shifts per week (shifts may not be consecutive and can include split shifts)
