CT Tech Position - Seattle, Washington
Job Overview

- Scanners/Rooms: 4 total (2 outpatient CT, 1 ER, 1 CCU)
- Floating: Possible assignment to Bellevue (~16 minutes away) based on need
Certification & Licensing Requirements
- Must have Washington State RT license at time of application
- BLS certification required
- Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) verification
- Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) verification
- Must have Rad Badge prior to starting assignment
Experience & Skills
- Experience with GE CT scanners required
- Ability to perform all CT exams (basic and advanced), including pelvis colonography, coronary scans, TAVR planning
- Most frequent scans: chest, abdomen, pelvis
- Must be able to start IVs
Workload & Technology
- Average of 20 scans per day per tech in Seattle
- EMR/PACS systems used: GE Centricity, Philips PACS, Cerner EMR
- Department equipment: GE scanners
- Radiologist available in-house
Scheduling & Shifts
- Set shifts, vary by need and contract
- Day shifts (8 hours): 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- 12-hour day shifts: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (depending on day)
- Night shifts (12 hours): 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM or 4-10s (9:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Weekend and holiday coverage required; CT runs 24/7 with rotating 12-hour shifts
- No mandatory call or standby for travelers, but may be asked if needed
Additional Information
- Parking is not reimbursed; garage parking available with daily and monthly options; public transit is an alternative
- Dress code: navy, gray, or mix (scrub color)
- Orientation: Organizational-specific orientation with modules on first day; unit training with a partner during first week for safety
- Staff rotation covers ER and CCU scanners
This position is suitable for CT Technologists licensed in Washington with experience on GE scanners, comfortable with varied shifts including nights and weekends, and able to work in a fast-paced 24/7 CT department.
