Job Opportunity: Histotechnologist

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Histotechnologist with experience in routine histology procedures including embedding, microtomy, immunohistochemistry (IHC), special stains, and digital pathology. The role requires attention to detail and familiarity with Epic Beaker LIS and Roche equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Histotechnologist (HTL) via ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in histology required; 3 years preferred
• BSN in Chemistry preferred

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Weekend work required
• Holiday work required if staffing needs arise
• No call or standby call required
• No self-scheduling; fixed schedule
• Professional dress code (any professional colors)

Orientation & Training

• Organization orientation on day one
• Lab-specific orientation on day two
• Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote

Additional Information

• No specialization in specific tissue areas required (e.g., muscle or kidney)
• No requirement to cover other lab areas or perform phlebotomy
• Reports to Technical Coordinator who reports to Lab Director
