Mammography Technologist

Location: Flemington, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Day shift)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
On-Call/Weekend: No on-call duties or weekend work required

Job Overview

Perform both screening and diagnostic mammograms to assist in early detection and diagnosis of breast abnormalities. Ensure high-quality imaging and patient care in collaboration with radiologists and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures following established protocols.
• Ensure proper positioning and imaging techniques for optimal radiologist interpretation.
• Educate patients about the procedure, ensuring their comfort and addressing concerns.
• Maintain and operate mammography equipment in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Accurately document patient history and maintain records according to HIPAA and facility guidelines.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements for quality assurance and control.

Required Qualifications

• ARRT (R)(M) certification.
• New Jersey State licensure.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mammography.
• Strong knowledge of mammographic positioning and imaging techniques.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Experience with GE mammography equipment preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Completion of background check, drug screen, physical exam, and various health screenings/vaccinations including COVID-19 vaccine plus 1 booster, Hepatitis B, MMR, TdaP, Varicella, and TB screening.
• Verification of credentials including ARRT certification, educational and employment verification, license verification, and various sanction and exclusion screenings.
• Compliance with mandatory annual training and facility-specific orientation and documentation requirements.
