Job Opportunity: Electrophysiology Tech

Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: 4 shifts of 10 hours each (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), rotating late shifts
• No weekends or call requirements; however, staff rotate staying late if cases extend into the evening
• Must be available to work or take call for one holiday per 13-week contract (rotational)
• Charting system: Epic required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates not accepted due to radius restrictions

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

• Electrophysiology Technician with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Certification options:

  • ARRT (R)
  • CCI
• EP mapping experience required

Experience & Skills

• Proficient in sterile technique
• Ability to scrub and circulate all procedures including ablations and devices/implants
• Experience with Micropace/LSPro systems
• Experience with Epic documentation system

Required Documentation & Compliance

• I-9 or attestation
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must meet radius criteria)
• Background check covering 7 years of history (not required annually unless break in assignments)
• E-Verify or attestation
• Physical exam within 1 year, free from communicable diseases
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Drug screening (10-panel) within 30 days of start
• Immunizations or positive titers for: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• TB questionnaire
• Professional photo for badge
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and compliance paperwork prior to start
• Two clinical references required
• Skills checklist updated annually

Additional Information

• No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers are accepted
• Shift rotation includes late shifts but no weekends or call
• Facility closes on holidays except for rotational holiday work requirement
• Radiation badge must be supplied by the facility for new candidates
