Job Opportunity: RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant)

Location: Allegan, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RNFA - Operating Room)
• Shift: Days, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Call Requirement: None
• Weekend Requirement: None
• Floating: Occasionally required to float to pre/post-op and possibly to a nearby facility on Mondays for surgical cases
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• First-time travelers: Accepted
• Local candidates: Not accepted; must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
• Pending License: Accepted if candidate applies for license within 24 hours after offer
• Scrub Color: Provided

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Michigan (must apply within 24 hours if pending)
• Minimum 1 year of RNFA (First Assist) experience within the last year
• Operating Room (OR) experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• CHEMO certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication)

Additional Requirements

• Employment application required prior to start
• Facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreement and photo for badge
• Completion of facility-required training modules prior to start (approx. 8-10 hours)
• Fingerprint results required for Michigan

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
• Floating may be required occasionally to other units or nearby facility for surgical cases
• Candidates must be prepared to complete all required documentation and certifications before starting

This position is ideal for an experienced RNFA looking for a travel contract opportunity with day shifts and no call or weekend requirements.
