Job Summary
Seeking an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience. This is a travel/contract position.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in Radiology/Cardiology specialty.
- Licensure: Must hold the appropriate permanent state license for the discipline (no temporary RN licenses accepted).
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA only
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC).
- Background Checks:
- Criminal background check within 60 days of start, including all states lived/worked in past 7 years.
- State and federal exclusions checks (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG).
- Education verification or proof of diploma.
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to meet job demands.
- Immunizations and titers: Tdap, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as required.
- Drug screening within 60 days of start (9-panel minimum).
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption.
- Competencies:
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
- Color blindness testing.
- Abuse reporting competency covering physical/sexual abuse, domestic violence, and elder/disabled adult neglect.
- References: Two professional references required.
- Application: Complete application/resume required.
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually.
Additional Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service.
- Candidates must complete required orientation modules and exams.
- Fingerprinting and CPS (Central Registry) background checks required for certain units and candidates; proof of submission must be on file prior to start.
- Candidates must comply with all state-specific background and registry checks.
- HIPAA confidentiality agreement acknowledgment required prior to start.
- Candidates must be able to bring necessary personal items (mask, headphones, laptop/cell phone) as specified.
Notes
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
- Certifications expiring within 1 month of contract start will not be accepted.
- No onsite certification renewals; renewals must be scheduled in advance.
- Candidates may start with some background check results pending if proof of submission is on file.
