Shift Details
- Night shift
- 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each (22:45 to 7:15)
- 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Surgical Services
- Prior travel experience required
- Certified Sterile Processing Technician with HSPA or CBSPD certification
- Valid state driver's license or ID
- Must pass a 7-year criminal background check (including SSN trace, county search, national criminal search, and other federal checks) within 30 days of start
- Massachusetts statewide iCORI clearance required within 30 days prior to start
- Education verification of highest completed education (transcript acceptable if verification not possible)
- Required certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – collected by agency, not required by client
- National Sterile Processing Technician Certification (HSPA or CBSPD)
- Required health documents:
- Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including physician statement of fitness without restrictions
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
- Required immunizations or documented immunity (or facility-specific declinations where allowed) for:
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Influenza (seasonal vaccine or declination during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccination (most recent) or facility-specific declination
- Drug screening within 30 days of start covering a comprehensive panel of substances
Compliance and Documentation
- Must provide 2 professional references within 3 years of start date
- Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually as applicable
- Pass/fail medication exam required for all RNs and LPNs (not applicable here but noted for awareness)
- Background checks and clearances must be current and uploaded with appropriate expiration dates
- Facility-specific declinations for vaccines are not accepted for Pediatrics, Maternity, NICU (not applicable for this role but important for awareness)
