Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Portland, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse for Emergency Room (ER) travel assignment. The position involves floating between units as needed and requires flexibility to work weekends at least every other weekend. The nurse will work with a patient ratio of approximately 1:4.
Work Details
- Floating: Yes, may float between various units based on skill set and unit needs.

Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Required Licensure
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Oregon.
- NURSYS verification required as applicable.

Schedule & Work Environment

- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator safety clearance required annually for travel candidates.
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
Additional Requirements
- Must complete required WorkRamp training modules prior to start and annually thereafter.
- Must complete facility-specific float policy acknowledgment.
- Must provide a passport-style badge photo with neutral background.
- Must complete Epic training modules as assigned.
- Must comply with state-specific background and registry checks as applicable.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Notes
- No on-call required.
- Floating assignments may require travel between multiple locations; vehicle is mandatory.
- Weekend work is required at least every other weekend.
- 48-hour shifts are not approved.
This position is ideal for a flexible ER Registered Nurse comfortable with floating between units and facilities within the Portland, Oregon area, who holds current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications and meets all licensure and compliance requirements.
