Location: Walla Walla, Washington

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1 year of experience or a first-timer in the specialty of Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics. This is a travel contract position at a short-term acute care facility with Level III Trauma Center designation.
Work Schedule & Environment
- Rotating weekends required
- Block schedules required
- No floating between units
- No on-call required
- Patient ratios vary, points-based system
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrub color: Any color allowed on all units
- Parking: No fee
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Required Compliance & Documentation
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Drug screening: 10-panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine or declination
- Respirator safety clearance required annually for respirator use
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years
Additional Requirements
- Completion of facility and regional mandatory training modules annually via LMS platform
- Fit mask testing required annually (except for Medical Lab Technicians)
- Compliance with state-specific background and registry checks as applicable
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
- No floating between units expected, but float policy acknowledgment required in case of reasonable distance float requests.
- This position does not require on-call duties.
