Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: 4x10 or 5x8 (36 guaranteed hours)
Weekend Requirement: As needed per facility
Floating: As needed per facility

Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Cath Lab specialty to provide care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing patients undergoing left and right heart catheterizations, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias.

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of recent (within the past year) experience as a Cath Lab RN
Experience with diagnostic and interventional adult cardiac catheterizations
Experience with left and right heart catheterization
Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
Experience in procedural sedation administration and monitoring
Experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification

Old community hospital, doctors are really out of touch, small hospital problems. Lots of drama. Same as every other small hospital.
