Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Work Days: Friday through Sunday block
  • Must have experience in a Level 1 Trauma Hospital
  • Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Required Licenses & Certifications

  • Texas Medical Board (TMB) License
  • ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid X-Ray Technician license in Texas
  • Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technician experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting
  • ARRT certification
  • BLS certification

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • I9 or Attestation
  • Valid government-issued Photo ID or Passport
  • Background Check (7 years, including county criminal, sex offender, state police investigations) within 30 days of start
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
  • Physical Exam within 12 months of start
  • Drug Testing: 10 panel within 30 days of start (no rapid screens)
  • Fit Mask Test (annual, can be done onsite)
  • Immunizations and Titers:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for all travelers)
    • Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months, with annual updates and follow-up for positives
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titers or 2 vaccine documentation, boosters if needed
    • Hepatitis B: Vaccine series and positive titer or signed declination form
    • Varicella: Positive titers or 2 vaccine documentation, boosters if needed
    • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)

Competency & Testing Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% passing, 2 attempts allowed)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (2 attempts allowed)
  • Pass/Fail Testing for Medication and Dysrhythmia/EKG required for all RNs and Cath Lab Techs (may apply depending on unit)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit (verify with recruiter)

Additional Notes

  • Photo for badge required (passport style)
  • Must sign facility-specific job description and various exemption/declination forms if applicable
  • Two professional references within 3 years required

This position requires a highly qualified X-Ray Tech with trauma hospital experience and appropriate licensure and certifications. Candidates should be prepared for comprehensive credentialing and compliance documentation.
