Job Opportunity: PTA Outpatient (Therapy/Rehabilitation)

Location: Winchester, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Assignment Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Setting: Outpatient primarily
• Locals Accepted: Yes, at the same rate

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Kansas
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience as a Physical Therapist

Certifications (As Applicable)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – as required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – as required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – as required

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, SS Trace, Counties, Nationwide, Sex Offender, Facis level 3
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• State License Primary Source Verification
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Competency Exams (as applicable)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)
• Physical Exam (initial and updated annually)
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug Testing: 9 panel drug screen within last 12 months
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or documentation (declinations accepted with masking during flu season)
• COVID Vaccines required (religious/medical exemptions accepted)

• Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
• Complete employment application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually (for applicable unit)
• Performance evaluations if previously worked with the system over 1 year
• Internal evaluations if previously worked with the system over 2 years
