Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 19:15 - 6:45)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Patient diagnoses include Labor, Pre-Eclampsia, PRROM, and OB Emergency Department cases
- Special procedures: C-Section circulator, initial newborn care
- Use of special equipment such as birthing tubes
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Certifications required prior to start:
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- AWHONN Beginner
- AWHONN Advanced
- FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
