Operating Room Registered Nurse Travel Job

Location: Jackson, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (8:45 AM – 9:15 PM)
• Weekend on-call: Typically 1-2 weekends per month
• Holiday on-call shifts as applicable
• Experience circulating in all surgical areas required, including cases from craniotomies to laparoscopic and endovascular procedures (excluding cardiovascular surgery)
• Epic electronic health record experience required within the last 12 months

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Background and Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including nationwide and international searches if applicable
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Completed employment application/resume
• Skills checklist as applicable to specialty
• Signed appearance standards acknowledgment prior to start
• EPIC test-out required (one attempt only; failure results in contract cancellation). Candidates may start with EPIC pending but must complete onsite testing.
