Registered Nurse - PACU (Pre-Op Post Cath Lab)

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 5x8 hour shifts (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: June 22, 2026

Job Description

• Work in Interventional Procedures Lab including Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology (IR), Electrophysiology (EP), and Neuro.
• No weekends or holiday shifts required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in PACU - Post Anesthesia Care, with experience within the last year.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Compliance & Screening Requirements

• 7-year background check including SS trace, county searches for all locations lived/worked/schooled, nationwide sex offender check.
• Wisconsin Caregiver Screening search required.
• Two professional references verified within 2 years of start; for inpatient RNs, one reference must be from the most recent acute care assignment with performance comments.
• Annual skills checklist required.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (TSpot/PPD not accepted). Negative chest X-ray within 60 days of start if applicable.
• Immunization or positive titer proof for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days of start (instant tests not accepted). Marijuana positive test is not disqualifying.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March).
• Completion of facility-specific compliance checklist and confidentiality statement.
• Photo for badge (passport-style, no filters).

Additional Notes

• Medication/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable.
• Color blindness test required only for dialysis/kidney center candidates (not applicable here).
• Dosimeter request form required only for Imaging Department (not applicable here).
• Flu vaccine exemption forms must be completed if applicable.

This position offers a structured weekday schedule with no weekend or holiday work, suitable for RNs with at least one year of experience interested in interventional procedure areas. First-time travel nurses are welcome.
