Job Opportunity: PACU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Clinton, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Role involves working in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with ICU responsibilities.
Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts with two possible shift times: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 11:00 AM–7:30 PM (day/evening rotation).
Call requirement: Approximately 5-6 calls per six-week period during day/evening shifts.
Weekend shifts: 2 weekends per 6 weeks.
Float requirement: Must float to cover ICU as needed.
Scrubs provided.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum 1 year of recent Pediatrics PACU - Post Anesthetic Care experience, including Phase I and Phase II recovery and pre/post-operative care.
Experience working with pediatric patients.
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience.
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience.
Current certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- SPT (Skills Proficiency Test)
Successful completion of EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam prior to start.
