Position Details

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse
Location: Cartersville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Work Schedule & Expectations

Weekend shifts: Every other weekend
No on-call required
Floating: Within facility and scope of practice as needed
Holiday Work:
- If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it
- If 2 major holidays fall, expected to work both
- If 3 major holidays fall, expected to work 2 of them
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse license in Georgia
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance & Orientation

Full compliance with all documentation and credentialing required to start on time
Orientation hours are non-billable and proportional to contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
Background check required within 30 days of start, including criminal, sex offender, education verification, and others as specified
Must review and sign Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start
Facility-specific online course for Electronic Fetal Monitoring required within a few months of hire (if applicable)

Additional Notes

First-time travelers accepted for this unit
Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
Manager review of candidate profile and schedule fit occurs within 48 hours after confirmation
Maximum response time for credentialing (RTO) is 7 days
If compliance is not met in time, start date may be pushed back by 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling
