Shift Details
- Night shift, 3 shifts per week
- 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Total 36 hours per week
- Weekend work required as needed by the unit
Required Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience, minimum 2 years
- NICU experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience
On-Call and Scheduling
- No on-call requirement
- No block schedule accommodation unless otherwise stated
- Return to office (RTO) restrictions: maximum 1 week

Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check required within 45 days of start
- Various background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Sex Offender Search, and Washington State WATCH search
- Education verification required for RNs and Med Lab Techs (not applicable here)
- Physical exam required by agency (not facility)
- Fit mask test required within 9-12 months of start (3M N95 preferred; PAPR available onsite if needed)
- Immunizations and titers required or declination documentation for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (vaccination series and titer or declination)
- Varicella (vaccination or titer; history of disease not accepted)
- Influenza seasonal vaccination or approved exemption/declination
- COVID vaccination or declination (for tracking)
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within one year of start (agency requirement)
- Completion of EPIC/Alaris integration video and attestation required for RNs (may apply)
- Various competency exams and certifications may be required per unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP) — check unit-specific job descriptions
Additional Notes
- Performance evaluations may be requested at the end of the assignment
- Photo for badge required prior to start (professional DMV-style photo)
- Department checklist and PCIS agreement must be completed before start
- Suicide prevention training required for multi-state licensed nurses working in Washington (not applicable here)
- Flu declination requires completion of an education module and quiz
- Candidates must comply with all facility-specific onboarding and compliance requirements
This position is ideal for experienced RRTs with NICU expertise seeking a travel contract in a high-acuity, teaching hospital environment with a focus on neonatal and adult critical care.
