Shift: Day (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Job Description
- Position requires working every other weekend.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics specialty.
- Previous permanent employees of any affiliated facility must have a minimum 3-month separation before qualifying for this travel position.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Washington
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification only.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification only.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification only.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Current certification by AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society.
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential.
Required Licenses
- Must hold a valid Respiratory Therapist license for Washington State.
- NURSYS verification required as applicable for RNs and Respiratory Therapists.
Required Background and Compliance Checks
- Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly.
- Education verification required for all candidates.
- State-specific searches including Washington State Patrol Search within 90 days of start.
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable).
- References: Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work.
- Fit mask test required for travel candidates starting on or after 2/5/2024; must be updated annually.
- Respiratory Safety Clearance required annually for travel candidates.
- Immunizations and documentation required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow infection prevention protocols.
Training and Competency Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable.
- Competency exams required as applicable by specialty.
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS.
- EPIC training modules required within one week of orientation (transcripts must be submitted).
Additional Requirements
- Float Policy Acknowledgement: May be required to float to other nearby facilities.
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required.
- WA Multi-State Licensed Nurses Demographic Attestation required if working with an out-of-state compact license in Washington.
