Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Location: Big Spring, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 or 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 36/48 hour alternating schedule
Start Date: Must start on 7/13

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a medical-surgical unit during night shifts.
• Work alternating 36 and 48-hour weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Prior travel nursing experience.

Additional Notes

• Legal name must match exactly on all license documentation, IDs, social security card, and certifications; proof of name change alone is not sufficient.
• Facility may accept diploma as a placeholder if education verification is pending.
• Some certifications (e.g., PALS, TNCC) may have a grace period of 1 year for ICU or ER nurses.
• Facility-specific orientation and safety manuals must be reviewed and acknowledged.
• If vaccine exemption is sought, appropriate medical documentation is required.

This position requires a dedicated, experienced travel nurse ready to work night shifts on a medical-surgical unit with all required credentials and health documentation in place by the start date.
