CVOR Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Shift: Day/Evening rotating schedule with 2x8-hour and 2x12-hour shifts (06:30-14:30 / 14:30-22:30 and 06:30-18:30 / 10:30-22:30)
- Option for Day/Evening rotating 5x8-hour shifts (06:30-14:30 / 14:30-22:30)
- Day and evening shift rotation is required
- Call requirements: 2-4 weeknights and 1-2 weekends of call per 4-week schedule; no call shift longer than 12 hours
- Weekend call is either Friday and Saturday night only OR Saturday and Sunday during the day only
Patient Population & Procedures
Care for adult cardiac surgery, vascular, and thoracic patients with complex and high acuity needs, including but not limited to:
Cardiac:
- Cardiac surgery
- Aortic Aneurysm Repair
- Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR)
- Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- ECMO
- Heart Transplant
- MAZE procedure
- LVAD/RVAD management
- Aortic Balloon/Impella Devices
Thoracic:
- VATS Wedge Resection
- VATS/Open Lobectomy
- Esophagectomy (Minimally Invasive & Transhiatal)
- Bronchoscopy
- EGD
- Mediastinal Mass Removal
- Lung Transplant
- Laparoscopic & Open Hiatal Hernia Repair
Vascular:
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA)
- Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)
- Carotid Endarterectomy
- AV Fistulas
- Femoral-distal bypass
- Femoral-femoral bypass
- Superior Mesenteric Artery (SMA) bypass
- Vein stripping/ablation
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR Registered Nurse experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Scrub experience with a skill rating of 3 or 4 on the skills list
