CVOR Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Shift: Day/Evening rotating schedule with 2x8-hour and 2x12-hour shifts (06:30-14:30 / 14:30-22:30 and 06:30-18:30 / 10:30-22:30)
• Option for Day/Evening rotating 5x8-hour shifts (06:30-14:30 / 14:30-22:30)
• Day and evening shift rotation is required
• Call requirements: 2-4 weeknights and 1-2 weekends of call per 4-week schedule; no call shift longer than 12 hours
• Weekend call is either Friday and Saturday night only OR Saturday and Sunday during the day only

Patient Population & Procedures

Care for adult cardiac surgery, vascular, and thoracic patients with complex and high acuity needs, including but not limited to:

Cardiac:

• Cardiac surgery
• Aortic Aneurysm Repair
• Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR)
• Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• ECMO
• Heart Transplant
• MAZE procedure
• LVAD/RVAD management
• Aortic Balloon/Impella Devices

Thoracic:

• VATS Wedge Resection
• VATS/Open Lobectomy
• Esophagectomy (Minimally Invasive & Transhiatal)
• Bronchoscopy
• EGD
• Mediastinal Mass Removal
• Lung Transplant
• Laparoscopic & Open Hiatal Hernia Repair

Vascular:

• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA)
• Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)
• Carotid Endarterectomy
• AV Fistulas
• Femoral-distal bypass
• Femoral-femoral bypass
• Superior Mesenteric Artery (SMA) bypass
• Vein stripping/ablation

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR Registered Nurse experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Scrub experience with a skill rating of 3 or 4 on the skills list
