Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital (Travel/Contract)

Location: Morehead, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Physical Therapy)
• Setting: Inpatient Acute Care and ICU patients
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Hours: 40 hours per week (5 days x 8 hours)
• Weekend Requirement: 1 to 2 weekends during the entire assignment

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Kentucky

Certifications (As Applicable)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense approved
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - as required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - as required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - as required
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - as required
• National certification verification as applicable for allied professionals

Health and Safety Requirements

• Initial physical exam and annual updates attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year of start, updated annually; if positive, chest x-ray required within 2 months of start
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or declination required
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: titer or 2 vaccines required
• Hepatitis B: titer, vaccine series, or declination required
• Varicella: titer or 2 vaccines required
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (no exemptions accepted)
• Pneumococcal vaccine or declination required if placed on Transitional Care or Inpatient Rehab Unit; otherwise declination form required
• 9-panel drug screen within the last 12 months (instant acceptable)

Competency Requirements

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color blindness testing required
• Core competency exams as applicable
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance

Additional Notes

• Candidates must review and sign facility-specific policies including attendance, code of conduct, professional image, and hygiene
• Background checks and federal exclusions screenings (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) required within 30 days of start and updated with contract renewals
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
