Overview

• Location: Smithville, Missouri
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Setting: Inpatient rehab

Work Environment

• Average daily census: 10
• Patient ratio: 1:6 on all shifts
• Unit size: 12 beds/rooms
• Floating may be required to other units, including ED for inpatient holds, based on greatest need
• Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period, with a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts
• On-call: No

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Rehabilitation (2 years of experience)
• Rehabilitation experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

• Pulmonary conditions
• Cardiac conditions
• Neuro/CVA
• Orthopedic recovery
• Debility
• Amputation

• Blood glucose monitoring and insulin protocols
• Feeding tube and enteral care
• Central line and IV care
• Anticoagulation therapy
• Stroke and seizure-related care
• Mobility, transfer, and assistive device support
• Wound care and pressure injury prevention
• Oxygen, suctioning, and respiratory support
• Patient education and fall prevention
