Schedule

• Day shift, 5x8 hours
• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Rotating overnight OR call and weekend call
• Call: 1–2 days per week and 1 weekend per month
• Holiday call may be needed for OR and possible PICC line assist

Setting

• Acute care hospital
• 5 procedure rooms:

  • 2 fluoroscopy rooms
  • 2 ultrasound rooms
  • 1 CT-capable room
• Average volume: 10–15 cases per day

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Fluoroscopy experience

Case Mix

• Joint injections
• Paracentesis
• Thoracentesis
• Lumbar puncture
• Nephrostomy and cholecystectomy tube placements and exchanges
• Abscess drains
• Port placements
• Biopsies
• Thrombectomies
• Embolizations
• Chest tube placements
