PACU Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Ventura, California
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift, 4x10 hours
• Start time options: 9:30 AM–8:00 PM or 12:30 PM–11:00 PM
• ASAP start
• No first-time travelers

Unit Details

• Adult PACU
• Staffing ratio: 1:3
• Floating required
• Weekend coverage required
• On-call required: 24 hours per month on weekends and one weekday per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

Preferred Experience

• 1–3 years of ICU experience
• Trauma Level I and II experience

• RTO must be submitted with the initial application
• Required pre-start compliance items include facility onboarding, competency review, health screening, and background/documentation checks
