ICU RN Travel Contract
Overview
- Location: New Haven, Connecticut
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
- Weekly hours: 48
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Every other weekend
- First-time travelers: Accepted
Role Summary
- ICU float pool role covering 5 ICU specialties and step-down units
- Floating may occur between two campuses
- Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Notes
- On-call is not required
- Block scheduling is not available
- RTO greater than 7 days requires approval
- Guaranteed hours are included
- Parking is available for $125/month

Always given very easy assignments. Their MICU is combined with the MICU stepdown so travelers were put in stepdown once a week but it’s a 1:3 ratio there and assignments were fair

Very large unit so hard to get to know everyone/find people to help sometimes
