Job Details

• Shift: Nights, either 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts, with call depending on census; every other weekend required
• Scheduling: Blocked scheduling is acceptable

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA approved (Provider, Instructor, or RQI accepted)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA approved
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring)
• AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)

Licensure

• Valid RN licensure required
• NURSYS verification and primary source verification required

Vaccination and Health Requirements

• Flu Vaccine: Required during October 2024 - March 2025 flu season; declinations NOT accepted
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not mandatory; proof of vaccination or signed declination accepted
• Other Vaccinations/Immunizations:

  • TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within past 10 years
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters required if titer is low/equivocal
  • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series or positive titer required; declination allowed if series completed and titer negative
• TB Testing: Negative PPD, QGold, or TSpot within 3 months of start; for positive responders, negative chest X-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required
• Drug Testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start

Additional Requirements

• Must clock in and out to receive payment
• Any missed shift requires a make-up shift during the same work week or pay period
• Candidates must be located more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Fit mask test required within 1 year of start, updated annually (acceptable masks: 3M N95 models)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams required
• Cerner experience preferred

Facility-Specific Notes

• Candidates must complete confidentiality and security agreements, contract staff information records, and required learning modules prior to start
• Vaccine exemption forms (medical or religious) must be completed and approved prior to assignment if applicable
• Flu vaccination must be completed by November 12, 2024, or candidate may be removed from assignment

This position offers a structured night shift schedule in a Labor and Delivery unit with a supportive team environment and clear compliance requirements. It is suitable for RNs with at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, including those new to travel nursing.
