Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Saratoga Springs, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 37.5 hours per week
• Sunday: 9 AM – 11 PM
• Monday: 11 AM – 7 PM
• Saturday: 7 AM – 11 PM

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
• New York Radiology license required
• ARRT-CT certification required
• IV certification preferred
• Experience with Siemens and GE imaging systems (confirmation required)
• PACS experience
• EPIC experience

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
• National Tech Certification as applicable
• Successful completion of EKG/ECG competency testing with a minimum passing score (facility-specific requirements apply)

Competency & Testing Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Advanced EKG/ECG test with a required passing score of 90% within 72 hours of contract signing
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for certain units
• Color Blind Testing preferred

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date (onsite physical required prior to start)
• Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold) within 1 year of start
• Immunization or titer proof for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (2 boosters or positive titer)
• 10 Panel Drug Screen within 60 days of start
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required by December 5th, 2024 (mask required if exempt)
• N95 fit test (quantitative test for 3M 1870 mask accepted)
• Eye exam including Ishihara’s color deficiency test

Background & Compliance Checks

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Standard background checks including 7-year search, SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender registry
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks annually
• New York State-specific registry searches as applicable
• Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training (New York State mandated for RNs and LPNs)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Passport-style photo for badge
• Lift assessment (typically 25 lbs, may vary by position)
• Completion of virtual orientation and clinical testing modules prior to start
• Various facility-specific forms and authorizations to be completed prior to start

References

• 2 professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
• 1 professional reference required for per diem non-acute care roles

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required for this position

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with solid experience in radiology and cardiology imaging, who hold the necessary certifications and licenses, and are comfortable working varied shifts in a travel contract role.
