Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam (annual renewal required)
- Fit Mask Test (approved facility mask, annual renewal; must be completed prior to arrival)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (proof required)
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year; if positive, chest x-ray within 5 years)
- TB Questionnaire (annual)
- Rubeola (Measles) titer or 2 vaccines (booster allowed pending)
- Mumps titer or 2 vaccines (booster allowed pending)
- Rubella titer or 2 vaccines (booster allowed pending)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or facility-specific declination required)
- Varicella (titer or 2 vaccines)
- Drug Testing (negative 10 panel within 30 days of start; no instant tests)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Medical Exemption (required during flu season; declinations not accepted)
- COVID-19 Vaccine (required for all patient-facing roles; medical exemptions accepted with doctor’s letter; religious exemptions not accepted)
Facility Specific Requirements
- Cultural sensitivity to Alaska Native population is mandatory
- Background checks including SS trace and county searches for last 7 years
- Sex Offender Search within 30 days of start
- Education verification not required for RN
- Various facility-specific forms and acknowledgments must be completed prior to start
- Profile registration and completion of pre-boarding and onboarding tasks required within specified deadlines
- HealthStream training modules assigned during orientation (completion mandatory)

- Scrub color: Navy (L&D/OR scrubs provided)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification required for ER specialties (must be current within 12 months)

This position is ideal for RNs with at least 2 years of ER experience who are comfortable working in a culturally sensitive environment serving a complex patient population. Weekend availability and required certifications are mandatory. Prior travel experience is not required, and first-time travelers are accepted.
