Position Details

- Weekend Requirement: Yes (unless schedule states otherwise)
- Call Requirement: Yes, 4-6 days per month plus late team; usually 1 call on a weekend per month
- Floating: No floating within hospital or to sister hospitals
- Block Schedule: Not open to block scheduling unless otherwise stated
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- Pending License: Not accepted
- Return to Office Restrictions: Maximum 1 week
Experience & Skills
- Required Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted depending on experience
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
- Special Skills:
- Familiarity with placement of Swan-Ganz catheters, endomyocardial biopsies, temporary pacing wires
- Experience scrubbing coronary procedures with stenting
- EP lab skills are NOT required
- Patient Population: Patients undergoing coronary angiograms, complex interventions, and support devices such as Impella, IABP, Tandem Heart, and ECMO
Certifications & Licenses Required
- Washington State RN License
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only

- Total staffed beds: 637
- Charting system: EPIC
- Scrub color: Any (scrubs provided for OR personnel)
- Parking cost: Approximately $10.26 daily
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 45 days of start
- National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) search
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Education verification or diploma/transcript for RN
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (80% minimum in dosage calculations)
- Color blind testing
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (may be required)
- WA state-specific requirements for multi-state licensed nurses (suicide prevention training, demographic attestation)
- EPIC integration video and attestation required
- Photo for badge (DMV style, no selfies)
- Department and PCIS agreements
- Pyxis agreement (if applicable)
- WA License complaint clearance check
- Flu vaccination or exemption documentation during flu season
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination documentation
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility guidelines
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity documentation (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Varicella immunity documentation (titer or 2 vaccines; history of disease not accepted at this facility)
- COVID vaccination or declination documentation
- 10-panel drug screen (required by agency, not facility)
- Fit mask test within 9-12 months of start (specific mask types required)
Additional Notes
- Guaranteed hours may be adjusted based on census; providers may be called off or placed on-call in 4-hour increments up to one shift in a 2-week cycle
- Ambulatory or surgical services closed on weekends/holidays may affect scheduling and minimum hours
- Performance evaluations requested at end of assignment (Montlake location only)
- Radiation badges are no longer provided by agency for new candidates; must be supplied by facility if needed
