Job Description

• Provide patient care tailored to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients considering developmental, psychosocial, environmental safety, education, communication style, and understanding level.
• Access only the minimum necessary patient information to provide care.

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse

Background Checks & Verifications

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years.
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually.
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (series or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law).
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (11/1 - 4/30), with signed declination accepted.
• Color blind exam if applicable (in-person only).
• Respiratory safety clearance required prior to start, renewed annually (exceptions apply).

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable.
• Competency exams relevant to profession, minimum passing score 80% or Angoff score if higher.
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam may be required for some units.
