Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location: New Haven, Connecticut
Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center
Schedule: 3x12 hour day shifts
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Start Date: ASAP
Coverage: Bi-campus coverage (York Street Campus and Saint Raphael Campus)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Connecticut
  • Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
  • ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

    • Pyxis ES MedStation
    • Baxter Pump Interoperability
    • Patient Bedside Rounding
    • Ventricular Assist Device Awareness
    • Blood Administration Module (annual update)
    • New Employee Orientation
    • 21st Century Cures Act Module
    • Chaperone Policy Training
  • EPIC charting experience/testing highly encouraged (facility uses Epic)
  • Color Blind Testing required (must score 80% or higher)
  • Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam required (must score 85% or higher)
  • Skills checklist and work history verification required within 12 months
  • Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for Interventional Radiology

Work History and References

  • Must provide 7 years of work history with no gaps greater than 90 days
  • Employment verification required for last 7 years
  • One supervisor reference within the past year required (charge nurse references not accepted)
