Job Details

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Surgical Technologist
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Must be AHA or RQI certified
  • NBSTSA certification required
• License: Valid California Surgical Technologist license or certification as applicable
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, county, state, federal, and national searches
  • HHS/OIG clearance required
• Physical and Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Proof of N95 fit test within 1 year prior to start (specific approved masks required)
  • Tdap vaccine required (no declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (2 vaccines or titer with boosters if needed)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series, titer, or signed declination
  • 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start
  • Flu vaccination or agency declination required year-round
  • COVID-19 vaccination required or approved medical/religious exemption

Additional Requirements

• Two satisfactory references
• Employment application and skills checklist required
• Transcript/Diploma required if not certified
• Primary source license verification within 30 days of start (visual verification with signature and date)
• Completion of facility-specific learning modules (approx. 8 hours) prior to start
• Completion and signing of facility standards of conduct, confidentiality, and non-disclosure agreements prior to start
• Vaccine attestation form must be completed regardless of vaccination status

Notes

• No scrub color requirement; scrubs provided by facility
• EPIC or Cerner experience of 6 months or more preferred (relevant for clinical roles)
• Facility does not provide onsite N95 fit testing; must be completed prior to start
• CPI certification not required for this role (specific to ED travelers)
• Pyxis acknowledgment not required for this role
