Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Hannibal, Missouri
Specialty: Registered Nurse (CVOR)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Cover general OR cases and cardiac cases (hearts) due to low volume program
- Orthopedic OR experience required; robotics experience preferred
- Must be able to circulate; scrubbing is a bonus
- Shift options:
- 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
- 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts
- 50% call coverage required
- No local candidates within 60-mile radius
Required Experience
- Registered Nurse with OR experience
- Minimum 1 year prior travel experience in the OR required
- Orthopedic experience required
- Robotics experience preferred
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Missouri RN License
- BLS (AHA only)
- ACLS (AHA only)
- Other preferred certifications (not required):
- PALS
- TNCC
- NRP
- NIH Stroke Certification (required for some units)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 30 days of start, including:
- 7-year work/school history
- Social Security trace
- County and nationwide searches
- National Sex Offender search
- Education verification
- SAM, OIG, and state-specific searches within 90 days of start
- Education verification and primary source license verification required
- Drug screening (7-panel) within 45 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination/exemption accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual updates required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
- Annual competency exams and core testing required
- Facility-specific orientation and confidentiality agreements required
Additional Notes
- Religious and medical exemptions for COVID-19 and flu vaccines are considered with required documentation and may require weekly testing and mask-wearing
- Passport-style photo required for badge prior to start
- References from at least 2 recent employers required
- Employment application and skills checklist required

Nurse:patient ratios are great. This SDU has the best UTL and Director I’ve worked with in quite awhile.

Finding housing is a bit tough with it being a small town.
