Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Saint Marys, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Shift Details:

  • Variable shifts, mostly late and overnight shifts
  • Typical hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM or 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 1 holiday shift required
  • No weekends until after December 13th
  • No on-call required
• First-Timer Friendly: Yes
• Locals: Not accepted within a 50-mile radius

Licensure & Certifications Required

• Licensure: Pennsylvania license or compact license in hand
• Certifications:

  • ARRT CT (Computed Tomography)
  • ARRT R and BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • BLS (AHA, ARC, Military acceptable) required for all travelers
  • ACLS, PALS, CPI, MAB, NIH Stroke Certification as applicable (check unit requirements)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start (including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, PA statewide)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification required (transcripts, diplomas, or 3rd party verification)
• PA FBI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start (must be completed in PA)
• References: 2 professional references within 3 years of hire
• Skills checklist required annually

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 6 months or chest X-ray within 5 years
• Immunizations or declinations required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer; exemptions apply)
  • Hepatitis B (series, titer, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox)
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal vaccinations or declinations required for:

  • Flu (mask required if declined through March 31)
  • COVID-19
• Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start (not required at some facilities)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport style, no filters)
• Completion of orientation packet and acknowledgements prior to start
• Completion of medical surveillance checklist prior to start
• Completion of bloodborne pathogen quiz prior to start
• Vaccine declination forms if applicable

Additional Notes

• No onsite classes available for Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certifications; online training accepted
• Annual certification required for MAB, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, and Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCM) for applicable units (Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, Acute Care)
