Travel/Contract Therapy/Rehabilitation Position

Job Requirements

• Pennsylvania License in hand
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers are welcome

Work Environment & Schedule

• Options to work 40 hours over 4 or 5 days
• Choice between working at the main clinic or smaller satellite clinics
• Main clinic staff includes 3-5 PTs, 3-4 PTAs, 3 OT, and 3 speech therapists
• Typical outpatient caseload: ortho, neuro, pain, pediatrics, concussion, vertigo, aquatic therapy, etc.
• Ability to avoid patient types you are not comfortable treating
• Preferred hours: work until 6pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
• Flexible scheduling options:

  • 3 longer days + 1 eight-hour day with Tuesday or Friday off
  • Or 5 eight-hour days with varied start times

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal history (including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, PA statewide)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM verification
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Education verification (transcripts/diplomas)
• Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting within 12 months of start (must be completed in PA)
• Professional references: 2 required within last 3 years
• Skills checklist: annual requirement

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required for all travelers
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as required
• State license verification (primary source online)
• Other certifications as applicable (e.g., Management of Assaultive Behavior, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification for RNs)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months (or chest X-ray within 5 years)
• Immunizations or documented immunity/declinations for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within past 10 years)
• Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
• COVID vaccine or facility-specific declination
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start (not required at this location)

Facility Specific Requirements

• Passport-style photo for badge
• Completion of orientation packet and acknowledgements prior to start
• Completion of medical surveillance checklist prior to start
• Completion of bloodborne pathogen quiz prior to start
• Completion of vaccine declination forms if applicable
