Job Description
- First Time Travelers Accepted
- Call-In Policy:
- If a traveler calls in for a contracted shift and is a 0.9 FTE, they must make up the day during the pay period or the shift will be added at the end of the contract.
- If a traveler is a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract.
- On Call Hours: 1 day a week from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or RQI accepted
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or RQI accepted (as applicable)
- Other certifications may be required depending on the cost center/unit
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty (highest required)
- Prior travel experience is not required
Skillset Preferences
- Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
- Experience with C-Arm
- Experience with Contrast procedures
Equipment Used
- Siemens imaging equipment
Unit Information
- Liver center
- Y-90 procedures
- MAAS, AVS, DEBS, PTC
- Drain placements
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
- Background checks including:
- 7 years of residence/work history verification
- SSN Trace, County Criminal, Statewide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level III
- Education verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Transcript/Diploma (official and clear copy)
- Education verification by third party
- State License verification (within 30 days before start)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit Mask test within 12 months (specific respirators approved)
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (strongly recommended)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations)
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations)
- Flu seasonal vaccination/documentation required (no declinations; exemptions require approval)
- Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months
- Color Blind Exam (Ishihara or equivalent, 100% minimum score)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (not required for Techs or RRTs)
- Unit competency exam required
Additional Requirements
- Minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment (within 2 years)
- Current employment application with full work history and explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Skills checklist completed within 12 months and annually
- Completion of facility-specific orientation, compliance, and safety forms (time sensitive)
- Completion of mandatory RRT modules if applicable (for RRT candidates only)
Notes
- HIPAA Acknowledgement and other facility-specific compliance documents must be completed prior to start.
- On-site Fit Testing is available only as a last resort and not at all campuses.
- PAPR use requires prior facility approval.
- Candidates must complete all required training modules and orientation materials before starting.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized interventional radiology environment with advanced equipment and procedures, suitable for candidates with at least 1 year of relevant experience and required certifications.
