ER Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Auburn, New York Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: 13 weeks Employment Type: Travel/Contract Interview: Phone or virtual

Schedule

Night shift (3x12 hours), 19:00 to 7:30
3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
36 guaranteed hours per week
Every other weekend required
No blocked scheduling

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
1.5 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including ED experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
Experience working with stroke patients
Experience with central line management
IV insertion skills
Experience with arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling
Experience with ventilator management
Experience managing BiPAP/CPAP

Work Environment and Policies

The facility does not employ telemetry technicians. Nurses independently measure telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms for all telemetry patients under their care.
All requested time off must be submitted with the application. No time off will be approved after offer.
The traveler must arrange coverage for any additional shifts if needed.
