Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Endoscopy (1 year of experience)
• Endoscopy experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in a(n) Inpatient setting

Schedule and Assignment Details

• On-call: minimum of 4 calls per month
• Weekend requirement not specified
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Holiday coverage expected during the assignment
• Floating occurs in rotation with facility staff per hospital policy

• Bronchoscopy
• Colonoscopy
• EGD
• Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)
• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
• ERCP
• Esophageal varices and banding
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Specimen handling and labeling
• Post-procedure care
• Airway management
• Recovery from conscious sedation / monitored anesthesia care sedation

Additional Notes

• Charting system: Provation
• 3 days of orientation
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Adults and pediatrics cared for in a 3-room unit
