Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• ED - Emergency Department (1.5 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule and Assignment Details

• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope to like units is required
• Block scheduling is not available
• Local candidates are not accepted within 50 miles
• RTO must be 7 days or less
• First-time travelers are accepted
• On-call is not required

• New York harassment prevention training is required
• 2 professional references are required
• A unit-specific skills checklist is required within 1 year of start
• Respirator fit testing and respirator clearance are required before start
• Health screening and immunization documentation are required before start
• Background screening and employment application are required before start
