Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Marrero, Louisiana
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
• This unit does not offer straight 3x12 schedules; travelers may work alternating 3x12s and 4x12s every other week, or straight 4x12s
• Unit includes general MS, diabetes renal insufficiency, some overnight ortho, vascular insufficiency, wound patients, and backup for Stroke Unit
• 1:6 ratio, or 1:4 if cardiac drip
• Weekend required
• Holidays required: at least 2 of 3 holidays
• Float required
• Call not required
• Scrubs: navy blue or combination with white

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• Experience with Epic
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias & Telemetry
• State license verification
• NURSYS verification
• Background check
• EPLS/GSA/SAM
• HHS/OIG
• Drug testing
• Employment application with 7 years of work history and no gap more than 30 days
• Skills checklist within 12 months of start
• Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III
• Competency exam within 12 months of start
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam within 12 months of start
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 12 months of start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• TB questionnaire
• Negative TB or chest X-ray
• Tdap within 10 years
• Rubeola, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
• Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
• Flu seasonal vaccination/documentation for 2026–27
• Government-issued photo ID
• E-Verify
