PCU RN Travel Contract

Job Overview

Unit Overview

• Mixed-acuity surgical oncology unit caring for PCU and Med Surg patients
• Busy surgical floor
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics

Key Clinical Experience

• 2 years of experience required
• Experience with chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, oncologic emergencies, cytokine release syndrome, insulin drips, and heparin drips
• Strong focus on infection prevention protocols and fall prevention

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Surgical Oncology experience
• 2 professional references

Preferred Qualifications

• ONS Chemo certification

Scheduling and Work Expectations

• Weekends vary based on unit needs
• No set or blocked scheduling
• Travelers may be required to float within scope of practice
• Rotating day/night assignments may be scheduled based on department needs
