Pediatric PACU RN

Job Overview

Travel/contract RN role in Oakland, California
13-week assignment
Day shift: 4x10 hours, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM
Ability to float to other UCSF facilities
Unit accepts first-time travelers

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Pediatrics PACU - Post Anesthetic Care (2 years of experience)
Pediatrics PACU - Post Anesthetic Care experience within the last year
Experience working with Pediatric patients
Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
Preoperative experience

Preferred Qualifications

Trauma I experience

Additional Notes

Background check, drug screening, TB clearance, immunization documentation, physical exam, fit mask testing, and other onboarding/compliance items are required before start
Two supervisory references are required
Resume must include the last 7 years of work history, with gaps of 30 days or more explained
Unit-specific skills checklist is required and must be updated annually
