Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Santa Barbara, California
- Start as soon as possible
- 13-week assignment
- 4x10 day/mid shifts with variable start times: 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, 8:45 AM–7:15 PM, or 1:00 PM–11:00 PM
- Patient population includes neonates through geriatrics
- Average daily case volume: 30
- On-call required
- May float to outpatient
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist with 3 years of experience
- Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Trauma experience
- General surgery experience
- Orthopedic/spine/total joints surgery experience
- Neurosurgery experience
- Experience scrubbing complex surgery cases such as DaVinci (robotics), ortho/spine, and neuro
Schedule Notes
- Must be able to work variable start times
- If working regular shifts, call is assigned at approximately 6–8 shifts in 6 weeks
- If working weekend night shift, no additional call is required, though extra call may be picked up if desired
Additional Considerations
- Requested time off must be submitted with the initial application
- References: 2 professional references within 2 years of start
- Photo for badge required
- Respirator clearance and fit testing are required
- Negative TB screening, physical exam, flu documentation, drug screening, and immunization documentation are required per facility onboarding requirements
